The Perrin Technique, making people feel good again

Updated: Oct 21, 2022

The Perrin Technique

At Rakhee Osteopathy, we understand that patients can suffer with illnesses such as ME and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) and that the effects of these conditions are highly debilitating. A developing awareness of Long Covid is also yielding similar symptoms such as exhaustion and dizziness, and, for those who suffer from these conditions, it can have a devastating impact upon their wellbeing. If you have led an active life only to be stopped in your tracks by an illness such as this, you will know how frustrating it can be when walking up the stairs or making a cup of tea can feel like a mammoth task. Gone are the days of nipping out for a quick 5K run in the morning; instead, you find walking 5 metres more challenging. Thankfully, it doesn’t have to be this way. We use The Perrin Technique to help alleviate the symptoms caused by these conditions and you could receive this treatment to start feeling improvement.

What is The Perrin Technique?

The Perrin Technique was established by Dr Raymond Perrin in 1989 after he recognised that certain stresses cause pressure on the sympathetic nervous system and it is these pressures that then lead to a building up of toxins in the spinal and cranial fluids. Where the body should dispose of these fluids through the liver, the body becomes unable to cope and a build-up of toxins leads to blockages that cause these illnesses to become established as the toxins irritate the brain and spine, whilst they are building up and becoming blocked.

The Perrin Technique addresses these blockages and aims to get the toxins moving out of the body again. Through the use of soft tissue massage and gentle stroking of the lymphatic areas, this encourages the toxins to move into the bloodstream, enabling the liver to efficiently dispose of the toxins again. In doing so, patients should then experience a reduction of their symptoms and an improvement in their condition.

Does The Perrin Technique work for everyone?

Everybody’s condition is different and unique - you are you, and nobody else! By coming in for an initial consultation, we will be able to determine whether or not this is the right treatment for your needs. Our initial consultation is 90 minutes long and during this time, we will discuss your symptoms and how this is affecting your life. We will also examine your breast and spinal tissues to determine the treatment you may need. If the technique would be suitable for you, we will explain in depth how it works and show you the evidence we have of its efficacy. If you decide to proceed with treatment, we will also devise a bespoke treatment plan, so you can be certain that the treatment you are receiving is just what you need to start feeling more like your old self again.

If you are looking to regain control over your body and your energy levels, for example, The Perrin Technique could be just what you need to feel like you again.
