The Perrin Technique

If you have been suffering from ME or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS), then you may be feeling fed up with how debilitating these conditions can be. You may have found that you used to have lots of energy and were able to lead an active life, but now you find even the smallest of tasks difficult. Whether it is climbing the stairs, walking to the shops or simply having to try and get up in the morning, getting washed and dressed; everyday, commonplace activities are sometimes too difficult to contemplate. At Rakhee Osteopathy, we understand how frustrating it can be to lose your joie de vivre. We understand that you want to lead a normal life and we can help get you back on track with The Perrin technique. This is a therapy that does not involve medications or surgery, and it has been proven to help improve both ME and CFS, as well as Long Covid symptoms.

What The Perrin Technique is

The Perrin Technique was developed in 1989 by Dr Raymond Perrin. His work centred around the understanding that the body has different stresses on its sympathetic nervous system. These stresses included physical strains, allergies, and emotional triggers, as well as infections - like Covid. He realised that when these stresses were placed on the body, toxins were released into the body’s lymphatic system, putting pressure on both the brain and the spinal cord. In order to treat this, he developed a treatment that involves massage of the soft tissue around the head, neck, shoulders, back and chest areas. He also developed stroking techniques of the lymphatic areas, and utilised cranial and spinal techniques to move the toxins from the spinal fluid, into the bloodstream. In doing so, the liver could then gradually and naturally get rid of the toxins from the body, resulting in an alleviation of the symptoms that were originally present.

How do I get this treatment?

To find out if this would be a suitable treatment for your specific needs, you will need to book in for an initial consultation. We will spend 90 minutes discussing your symptoms, taking a full medical history and we will examine your spinal and breast tissue. We will explain in depth how the treatment works and confirm this with information about the research that has been conducted into The Perrin Technique. We will also discuss your tailor-made treatment plan with you, and you are free to ask as many questions as you need to ensure that you are clear about what is involved. You are under no obligation to proceed with treatment, although if the technique is offered to you, we are sure that you will be keen to get started with the objective of greatly reducing your symptoms.

If you would like to find out more about how we are able to help you get your life back to feeling on the right track, why not contact us to book in for an initial consultation?
